Top 5 lipstick loves

best uk beauty bloggers

nars dolce vita rimmel asia mac pink plaid

This one is for the beauty enthusiasts and beauty bloggers out there. As I don't have an endless supply of clothes to do an outfit/style post for you every week, I thought I'd bring it back to where my blog first started, beauty. I've seen a lot of these top lipstick posts floating about ever since Zoella did her high end lipstick post a few weeks ago. I am a complete lip product junkie so I'm always happy to look into other peoples collections, especially if they love a pinky brown or nude lip like me!

Lasting fix lipstick in the shade, Autumn Berries by 17 at Boots:
I think this was the first lipstick I ever bought and I have repurchased it multiple times since. The lipstick is nicely pigmented, creamy and stays in place for a good amount of time. Considering this lipstick is under £4.50 in Boots you can't really complain and  you can pick up your points whilst you're there.
I have just noticed on the website that none of the shades are in stock so I hope this doesn't mean that it's been discontinued!

I know this isn't a lipstick but I felt like I HAD to include as I honestly wear this all the time. I'm wearing it with my Rimmel lipstick in most of my blog posts. This has been one of the best beauty products I have ever used, the gloss and the packaging make it such a luxurious product to use that I really feel it's worth the £18.50 price tag. The pigmentation is amazing and is the most beautiful mixture of a brown and raspberry shades. One of the biggest bonuses is that it's not super sticky that you find your hair sticking to it like you do with most lip glosses.

Lasting Finish Lipstick in the shade 077, Asia by  Rimmel:
This is my favourite lipstick of all time. It's reasonably priced, the colour pay off is amazing, you can wear it for any occasion and it's a really nice creamy consistency. The product suggests that it has a lasting finish and this isn't something I'd necessary agree with as it doesn't last hours but as it's a nude it's easy to top up on the go. I've tried other lipsticks in a similar shade but nothing seems to compare to it and especially as it's under £5!

This was kindly gifted to me by Liv in a box of goodies she had created for me. When I spotted this lipstick in there I was extremely excited. I ripped open the packaging and fell in love with the colour. It's not something I would pick out for myself as I tend to always go for nudes & raspberry tones, but I'm so glad it did come my way. The photos don't do it justice, it's a really beautiful blue toned pink and just really perks up any neutral based outfit. I actually wore this colour in THIS blog post, if you want to see what it looks like on. The packaging the lipstick comes in is really lovely too, the magnetic base & lid just makes the lipstick feel much more luxurious than 'drugstore' lipsticks.

Matte finish lipstick in the shade Pink Plaid by Mac:
I don't actually own many MAC lispticks I only have 2, this one & Ruby Woo - both of which are matte finishes. I find Ruby Woo sometimes a bit too drying and when I got this I was worried it would be the same, luckily it's not. Obviously as it's a matte lipstick it's not going to be as moisturising as a crème or gloss, but I find this ok to wear on it's own without a balm. I really love this colour and going to a MAC counter can be so daunting sometimes as there is just so many lipsticks, so I did my research into their nude shades before choosing this one and I'm glad I did. I used this lipstick in my Kylie Jenner inspired tutorial which you can read HERE if you like!

  8. I haven't tried NARS lip glosses in a while, but I heard they reformulated them and that they're a lot better. I might have to try the NARS one, because I love a good pinky brown (with more brown/nude tones than pink though).

I feel like every girl, once she finds her go-to shade, basically will buy the same shade over and over again in different brands, lol. All my favorites are pretty much the same shade, just slightly lighter or darker.
