Last week I came back from one of my favourite holidays I've ever been on, and have a serious case of the holiday blues. I woke up very early on Monday morning at 3:30am for our flight to Dubrovnik, and to be honest I wasn't looking forward to it all that much. However after an easy flight and a quick taxi to our hotel I was in full holiday mode. We stayed at the Hotel Dubrovnik Palace, a really lovely 5* hotel with 3 pools, beautiful views and a bus stop right outside that took you straight to old town. It was pretty much perfect. We were there for 5 nights and I could have easily stayed for another week, there was plenty to eat and do in the Old Town. For vegetarians and vegans I would highly recommend the restaurant Nishta, which was great value for money and delicious food. A highlight of my trip was visiting Lokrum Island, a short 20 minute boat journey will take you to a beautiful island which is known for its rabbits (a dream come true for me). We spent most of our second day there and only managed to cover half of it, it was definitely one of the best days we had in Croatia. Other things you must do include taking a pit stop at the 'cold drinks' bar on the edge of the cliff and making time to visit the city walls to see the most amazing views of the Old Town.
Croatia looks heavenly! I need to go one day, it's fast becoming a really popular holiday destination. Lokrum Island sounds amazing, and it was always a great excuse for a little boat trip :D

You really should! I agree, lots of people have been going there recently. I didn't realise how popular it was!
