After the success of my first
Kylie Jenner lip post I thought I'd do a part two back for you, this time her
bold dark lip. (For those of you who haven't seen my original post, please
click here!) I know her make up style isn't for everyone but it's one of THE
most talked about things of 2014, and is still popular two months into 2015.
I've heard that Miss Jenner does most of her make up herself, hence all of
those selfies on Instagram. I've gone for a slightly toned down version of her
round full lips to make this slightly more wearable although I did feel
like I looked a tad Miranda Sings.
I'm still not quite sure how she
manages to create such a 'natural' full looking lip, as it took me ages to try
and perfect this one, and I still couldn't quite create the same effect!
I used three main products for these lips and then used eye-shadows and powders
to create more depth. First I started off by really over lining my lip shape as
you want them to seem as big as possible, I used MAC Whirl to do this. To create
the dark plum colour I used a combination of the Laura Mercier lip stain in
Mulberry, and Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick in the shade Black Cherry. Using a
lip brush will give you much more control of the product and will stop you from
smudging your lips, I used the Real Techniques lip brush. As you can see in the
photo above I used the back of my hand as a palette to mix the two colours
together and I even put a swipe of black eyeliner on there to create more
definition in the corners of my mouth. This is not an easy look to do and will
take a fair amount of practice, I would recommend for you beginners to start
gradually lining your lips and then begin to build up the lip colour. I
finished off the look by using the enhance shade in my Charlotte Tilbury Dolce
Vita palette to add an authentic 90s look,using a shimmer/lighter product in the centre of your lips will also make them look fuller.

I haven't done a beauty post for ages so I really hope you like this one! One of the most talked about make up looks and people this year has been Kylie Jenner and her ever growing lips. Surgery or not I really love the full 1990's nude lip inspiration behind this look. So I thought I would show you how to achieve this using two of her rumoured MAC products. I've chosen to use MAC lipstick in Pink Plaid and lip liner in Whirl. You can use other brands if you already have similar colours in your make up bag. Just make sure that your pick brown based nude/pink lip colours. (I've also popped a few other options in the widget at the end of the post.)

To achieve this look you will need to:
- Use a concealer or high coverage foundation to conceal the natural pigmentation of your lips.
- Line your lips with the lip liner. Kylie's have been dramatically over drawn to achieve a fuller lip effect.
- Apply your lipstick and blend with your finger or a lip brush so there is more of a natural blend between the two products.
- Kylie's lips have a matte finish so to achieve this use a translucent matte powder, such as Rimmel London stay matte. You can also apply a clear gloss to enhance the fuller look.
