A few weeks ago my mum, my sister and I took a trip to the lovely Kensington Palace, somewhere I have wanted to visit for ages (it's where Kate, Wills and the new baby George live!) We were mainly drawn to going to the palace to visit the new fashion exhibition which showcases some of the royal dresses worn by the Queen and Princess Diana!
I spotted this amazing wallpaper filled with illustrations of Princess Diana and important moments from her life by artist Julie Verhoeven.
I loved these cushions! I need to know where to get them from!
These are just a few of the many beautiful dresses on display at the exhibition, I fell in love with the floral blue dress worn by Princess Margret. I could have stood there for hours staring at this dress, it's so pretty! The cream embellished dress was worn by the Queen, and the Royal blue was worn by Princess Diana. Look at how small the waists are!
After lusting after such beautiful dresses that I'll never been able to wear, we decided to look around the rest of the palace. Which is such an amazing place to visit, the entry fee is £15 (or £12.40 for students). This price is completely worth it when you see the amount of effort and creativity put into making the palace an interesting space for visitors. I expected a much more traditional experience but was pleasantly surprised on my visit with something so much more! I didn't include too many photos as I didn't want to ruin the surprise for any of you who want to go.
I had such a lovely time, I'd really recommend the trip next time you're in London!
sounds like you had a lovely day, those dresses look amazing! x
