With so many places to visit in London you are sometimes spoilt for choice and trying to decide where to go for a quick bite to eat or a catch up cocktail can be slightly overwhelming. Well, let me introduce to you my new secret hangout, No 11 Pimlico Road*. Tucked away behind the bustling streets of the Kings Road you will find this beautifully decorated gastropub. My boyfriend and I decided to test out a few of their amazing cocktails, we sipped our way through the Gin Cobbler, Indian Ale and finally the Elderflower and Earl Grey Fizz (I've popped the photos in order so you can get an idea of what they looked like!) All of which I can confirm were all just as delicious as the other - for my next visit I'm going to make sure I try the Pineapple and Sage Mojito. I'm kicking myself about not trying it this time.
Now lets move on to the important stuff - food. As a vegetarian I am always on the hunt for great places to eat, and places that have actually thought about what a vegetarian might actually like to eat. I find it so disappointing when I look on a menu and the only options are either a spicy bean burger or a goats cheese salad. I was pretty pleased when I saw a menu filled with things such as a halloumi and courgette burger, olive tapenade crostini and creamy ricotta fritters. A great menu for a fussy eater like myself, I'm pretty sure anyone would be able to find something they would like. However you meat eaters do not need to panic as there is still more than enough for you to choose from, they even have a Sunday roast menu! My boyfriend devoured his chorizo and avocado salsa crostini, followed by a finger licking sticky pork & spring onion grilled skewers. I know there were still plenty of dishes on the menu he would have loved to try out.
No 11 Pimlico Road truly is a great place to take a friend for some lunch or drinks and I won't mind if you say 'I know a great little place...' and don't give me any credit, I'll consider my job as a lifestyle blogger done. I just hope I get to go back there soon!
*I wasn't paid to write this however I was kindly invited down for a meal and drinks - and all of these glowing opinions are my own!
Ooh this looks amazing! My family is going to London in the Fall, and as I'm the only vegetarian, this should be absolutely perfect! (My brother omce said "Marianne becoming vegetarian is the worst thing that has ever happened to me" so he'll be delighted by this choice!)
