As the 2014 San Diego Comic Con happened last week I thought I'd share my time at the New York event last year. Whilst being an unemployed graduate means that trips back to New York are curently off the cards, it doesn't stop me dreaming of going back and I am desperate to. These images are taken from the second half of my New York trip. I went to the New York Comic Con which was one of the craziest experiences of my life. My boyfriend and I were one of the few not in cosplay, nearly everyone else had dressed up and as a blogger I felt a little out of place. It was so busy, it gives me an idea how hectic YouTube conventions such as Vidcon and Playlist must be.
After escaping the madness of the convention we explored more of the city and wondered around downtown NY until we ate at Peacefood cafe. Peacefood is a vegan cafe/bakery and as a vegetarian I've always been curious about what a vegans diet would be like. My boyfriend and I went for lunch and slightly over ordered, I think our eyes were much bigger than our bellys. We had the baked soy nuggets to start and then for our main, he chose the mushroom duxelle pizza and I had the Mediterranean oven-dried seasonal vegetable panini with cashew cheese & basil spinach pesto (what a mouthful!) Then to finish we shared the rocky road ice cream, which was not lacking in taste despite being vegan and possibly the highlight of our meal. All of which were amazing after a day of wondering round the city in the heat. Although the food here was great, I'm definitely planning on still being a veggie as I just love halloumi cheese too much to make the switch!

About a week ago I was lucky enough to take my first trip to America, more specifically New York. It was honestly one of the best things I have ever done, and I already want to go back! I spent 5 nights in the Night hotel which was just off Times Square, which was a great location for your first time there as you really feel part of the city. I squeezed in so many things during the days that I was there that everything was such a blur, and before I knew it I was on a plane back home! Instead of trying to describe how much of an amazing trip it was, I thought I'd just show you all so be prepared for a lot of photos! Enjoy!
These pictures were taken at: MOMA, Eataly (which was incredible but if you want to eat here make sure you book!), Brooklyn Bridge, FAO Schwarz, The Highline, Artichoke Pizza (which have the biggest slices of pizza I've ever seen), Battery Park, Rockerfeller Centre, 5 Napkin Burger (one of the best places we ate at in New York - I highly recommend it), Greenwich Village & Central Park.
Here's what I wore:
