UK Lifestyle blog consisting of fashion, Travel and Interviews!

For the last three or four years my boyfriend and I have gone to the as a little escape from life in the big and rather polluted city. It was exactly what we were after: lots of fresh air, nice weather, flowers and great food. I often don’t take full advantage of living in London, so it was lovely to spend the full day out and not be stuck on the sofa watching Netflix. I didn’t take my DSLR camera like I have in previous years so these were all taken on my iPhone but I think they make for a nice photo diary of my trip!

For Christmas my boyfriend and I were kindly given national trust memberships by his parents so were sure to take full advantage of them. I know, we’re old before our years but we love cake, flowers and some time away from London every now and again. As well as visiting a few national trust locations we discovered Cotswolds Lavender fields, despite visiting the are a good few times I’d only just heard of it. I’ve always wanted to go to one, before they became an insta hit so it was good to tick that off my bucket list. If you’re looking for somewhere good to eat for dinner, I’d recommend The George Townhouse, tasty food with a scrumptious looking desert menu too!

When we stay, we are always sure to visit Daylesford, Cotswolds Farm Park and Hidcote manor gardens. Places for great food/shopping, fun and wonderful flowers!

Daylesford Farmshop and Café, Cotswolds

Daylesford has become one of my favourite places to visit ever. I've only been twice, but the two times I have been I've just been so happy to be there. My last visit filled me with so much joy that I thought I had to write a blog post about it! Driving through the little village is just how you would imagine the Cotswolds to be, flowers everywhere, animals grazing in the fields and lots of little cosy cottages. Once you've arrived you're greeted by blooming apple trees and colourful leaves on the floor, I think the changeable weather was making the trees a little confused.

They've recently just opened up the garden, which is a shop is dedicated to their love of horticulture and is inspired by all of their organic farmland, hedgerows and seasonal blooms! As I'm sure you'll agree from the pictures below, it is so stunning. I felt so inspired I bought a Brassica plant and a gorgeous teal plant pot from there for £10, which I thought was such a great deal.

If you're feeling hungry why not stop of at the farmshop to pick up supplies for a luxurious picnic or simply have a delicious organic pizza from The Old Spot. I had the mozzarella, tomato and home-made pesto pizza, this one of the best I've ever eaten and I've eaten A LOT of pizza's in my life! I think it was all of the organic ingredients, it made such a difference. From the farmshop I'd really recommend their dark ginger sticky cake and gluten free lager!

There you have it, my little round-up/review of Daylesford! If you have any recommendations of places to visit in the Cotswolds please let me know as I'm sure I'll be back soon!

I'll be honest I needed a bit of a break from London, work and blogging/social media. That may sound silly as I'm not a full time blogger, but as I'm trying to put more effort into my blog its hard to know what to write and create each week. So I didn't post last week, I escaped the city and packed up my bags and had a break in an amazing Airbnb in the Cotswolds. As soon as I arrived I felt inspired to start taking photos, uploading to Instagram and writing blog posts again. As I'm sure many of you will understand, working in a creative industry can make it tricky to come up with ideas for your own platforms as you use up all of your creativity at work. I absolutely love my job, it's incredibly fun, I work with some lovely people and I get to be creative on a day to day basis but generating ideas all of the time can be hard. So breaks like these are truly well deserved and are just what I need to recharge my brain and creativity. The apartment/flat that we stayed in made me feel like we were staying in a little hideaway an author would use to write their next book, and in some ways I guess it was true, as that author/creator was me! I will hopefully be doing a little flat tour blog post so look out for that in the near future.
