To many women and girls buying new underwear can often be
seen as a dreaded task. You don't want to get hot and flustered whilst trying
to find the right bra for you, whilst being restricted in a tiny changing room
where any minute you feel the curtain may fly open and expose you to everyone.
I understand I did not like it either especially during my younger teenage
years when going bra shopping with your mum was the worst thing ever.
However it now seems to me that having nice underwear is
just as important as having the right outfit and with so many shops now having
affordable lingerie sections there really should not be all this hassle it
should be something to love! In the last month two of my major "girl
crushes" have announced their collaborations with high street shops, the
first being the painfully Gorgeous Rose Huntington-Whiteley who is
collaborating with M&S. The second being the beautiful Kelly Brook (who is
debuting her second range for New Look.) Both of these ladies I am proud to say
are English and are showing us that you can still feel amazing in underwear
without having to pay a crazy amount at the tills!
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's collection for M&S helps
update the brand slight "mumsy" reputation and has a mixture of
gorgeous soft pastel colours, silk, lace detailing, twenties shapes and
styling.
Rosie says in her promotional video for the brand 'We’ve struck a good balance between being young and modern while still
being classic and sexy but it’s feminine. I hope people enjoy it in that
way.’ With regards to help designing the collection she says to have been very hands on when picking out the materials and how she wanted the collection to look as a whole, as one of the flawless Victoria's secret girls I am sure she is no stranger to knowing what fits and works well. With an impressive 33 pieces in the collection there is bound to be something for everyone. By the look of it she's done an amazing job and this collection is sure to be a sell out, the collection will be available from selected stores from the 30th August and online from September.
Kelly Brook's second collection for New Look promises to be
just as successful as her first. With pieces which contain details such as cute
polka dots, lace and the 50's as her inspiration, it seems the collection is
bound to be a success. With an amazing figure like hers Brook probably has her
fair share of not being able to find bra's that fit and support her properly so
this collection is available from a wide range from size a 34B to 36F. The
collection has also been designed to help flatter all sizes and shapes so the
vintage style pieces help to do so. Kelly Brook says "I am so excited
about my second lingerie collection. It’s gorgeous and feminine with a few sexy
pieces thrown into the mix. I hope everyone loves it as much as I do."
Selected pieces are already available to buy from the New Look website and will
hit the stores soon.
Are you excited for either of these collaborations? Let me know in the comments below.

With so many make up products coming out every week It's hard to keep up with it all and even more challenging to test them all out. So after eyeing up this product for a while ( excuse the pun) I thought I'd give it ago. I'd seen it been used in one of my favourites YouTubers the Pixiwoo girls video and if its good enough for them, then its good enough for me.
Maybelline have never been one of my go to brands when looking at my local "drugstore" for make up but as I was so impressed with their bb cream I was sure that this product wouldn't be too bad. Well I feel its fair to say that this product is pretty amazing. I'm impressed with it on every level the pigment in product is great, its extremely easy to use and its a great price. I was sceptical to try a gel liner as I've used liquid liner pretty much since day one of using make up. I've also tried another gel liner before which was from topshop and was pretty awful, it dried up so easily and just was so difficult and horrible to apply. Make up artist Tanya Burr said is that it was a great cheaper replacement for Bobbi Brown's cult product, the gel liner.
However the brush you get with this liner is actually quote good and works fairly well I haven't bothered to use any off my own brushes with the liner. I think for someone just starting off using eyeliner this would be a great starting point, you don't run the risk off getting the product in your eye and its stinging horribly. It's also easy to achieve the much loved winged liner look as the brush allows you to create great easy flicks.
I
brought this bikini from my current favourite high street shop New Look, for
just under £24 with student discount. I love it so much as I have
found with Kelly Brook's products with New Look they always fit me so well and
again this bikini is the perfect fit! I love Kelly Brook as she is a woman who
isn't stick thin and still has an amazing body and still manages to have boobs,
a bum and thighs, I just think she is a great role model for girls! So being a
girl that isn't a size 6 Victoria’s Secret model it's great to find these bikini’s
as I feel Kelly Brook would design something that she would want to wear. This
bikini is so flattering with the frills on the bottom part
to distract the eyes from any wobbly bits you may have and I love the
design of the bikini itself it's the perfect mix of the 50's and the current
trends, Navy also tends to suit lots of skin tones and looks great with a tan!
Here are a few more I like:
Pink Jumper - H&M -19.99 (brought last year), Daisy ring - Oliver Bonas - gift,
grey and black skull scarf - New Look - £7.99 & D necklace - Oliver Bonas - gift
I've been looking for a skull scarf like this for a very
long time and I kept on seeing people in London and Birmingham wearing them
with jeans, ankle boots and a leather jacket and it just looked so good! Such a
great way to make your outfit a bit more interesting. I'm not really much of a
scarf person at all so I was quite surprised when I found myself lusting over this
scarf. Of course this is a copy of the famous Alexander McQueen skull scarf,
but I got mine for an extremely small fraction of the price. The grey and black
colour combination is perfect for me as it will go with almost any outfit I
have. I love that the scarf is square and not rectangular as I find that they
sit so much better this way and they just give the look I want to achieve.
Unfortunately this scarf is not available online, I went to
my local new look and found this one there but there is this very similar one - Skull Scarf £7.99. New look has really impressed me at the moment with its accessories, they have such a good variety of styles and products for such affordable prices! Primark is also selling scarfs like this but in neon colours
which is very fitting for the spring/summer trends but I don't think I'm quite
brave enough to wear such bold colours quite yet. Maybe some of you will be a bit more adventurous than i am! (New look also have free delivery until Midnight 19/4/2012)
