I hope you’re all enjoying the sunny weather (or rain, you never know with English weather)! I’m still in that winter/spring phase where I’m not quite sure what wear as the weather changes so much, but thought I’d share these snaps that I shot at the weekend.
I don't love getting my legs out that much and would rather wear a pair of tights but sometimes you've just got to go bare legged. There's so many amazing dresses and playsuits online at the moment that I couldn't resist buying this one from ASOS. I have a holiday to Crete at the end of the month and I think it'll be so perfect for that, plus it's my birthday in June too, so this might be my birthday dress! I just love all of the beautiful bright colours, I've not seen anything else like this online - such a unique piece.
Right, I'm now off to have another browse on ASOS (of course), online shopping never ends! Have a lovely week!

It's been a bit of a while since I've done an outfit post, so I'm back with a couple of new pieces, both of which I absolutely love. I've been trying not to spend too much money on clothes recently but I decided to treat myself this payday and buy a few new bits. First up is this black and white gingham dress from Reclaimed Vintage via ASOS, it's a nice lightweight cotton material but I could easily wear a pair of woolly tights and some cute little boots with this in the winter, I have my eye on a pair of Sophia Webster butterfly boots so I'd better get saving! I love the bee detail on this too, it just makes the whole dress just a little bit more special. I matched the dress with this black little bag I picked up from Zara a couple of weeks ago. I was in the Sloane Square shop and I spotted this on the shelf and made a beeline for it. Often when clothes or accessories have the patches already sewn on there's usually always one I don't like but I genuinely love every single patch on this bag. My favourites are the car, lipstick and the palm trees, plus they have glittery thread sewn in too which is even better. I'm so glad I picked it up and it was only £16! I would have easily paid more for it.
I've had this dress sitting in my wardrobe for a while and have wanted to do an outfit post with it for ages as it is just so pretty. What better time to show you all this number then now, right before the Christmas party season. I've teamed this with two of my all time favourites; an old pair of heels from Topshop bought a few years ago and of course my pride and joy the Rebecca Minkoff's mini affair bag which had to be included. I got this bag whilst I was in New York and I think it's a really great piece to have in your collection as it's so versatile and is such nice quality you can tell this bag will last you a lifetime. I've decided to wear tights with the look but of course if you were feeling particularly brave and ready to brace the cold winter wind you could wear this without!
Unfortunately due to heels being a few years old my Topshop shoes are no longer available so I've put a few good alternatives at the end of the post.
I recently picked up this dress in my local Primark and I have completely fallen in love with it, so much so that I also got the dark red version of it too, both for the bargain price of £30. The red dress is pretty much a dupe of the Saint Laurent Collared dress except this one is less than a percentage of the price! I wore mine with some cosy knit tights and biker style ankle boots to toughen the look up. This is a look that will become an autumn/winter staple of mine as it's just so easy to put together.
I've also teamed the look with my new Rebecca Minkoff Mini Affair bag in Navy which I picked up in at the beautiful Henri Bendall's store in New York (which you can read about here.) I've wanted one of her bags for a while and always thought I'd get a Mini Mac after seeing YouTubers such as Miss Glamorazzi and Fleur De Force rave about them! However I saw this online just before I went, and knew this was the one I had to get and I'm very excited to have my first designer handbag. I know it's one that I'll use for years as it's such a classic style.

Here's what I wore:
Clutch,necklace & Jumpsuit: all c/o ASOS
I'm currently taking part in ASOS's Student Lowdown campaign and this outfit was inspired by what I would wear on a night out in my university town, Birmingham. I tried to break out of my comfort zone and try something a little different rather than my favourite skater dress, frilly socks and heels. Although I'm a London girl and always will be, Birmingham does have some pretty cool places to check out, so in no particular order here are my top picks...
Food/Drinking/Going out:
- Bodega - My favourite place to eat, this Mexican in the city centre is well worth the visit and pretty inexpensive, check my post here!
- Broad street - A great area for clubs, food and drinking. It's full of cheesy clubs but it's always bound to be a great night out with you and you best girl friends. I used to love going to Players (yes, that's what it's really called!)
- Lost and Found - A few doors up from Bodega this place is good for a cocktail or two.
- Rainbow - I've had some of my best nights out here and it's pretty popular with students. It's the place to be to find out about the latest club and House dj's, Hannah Wants started off her residency here and now she's huge!
- Island bar - Another cocktail bar, this time with a tiki theme. A word of warning, their Zombie cocktails are lethal!
- Red Peppers - A nice little restaurant in the Mail Box which have amazing pizza's my favourite is the pepperonata and again it's pretty inexpensive, which is all you really care about as a student!
Places to see:
- Bullring - Birmingham's famous shopping centre, it has pretty much every shop you could wish for and there's even a Selfridges and Victoria's Secret!
- Custard Factory - A quarter full of galleries, studio spaces, vintage shops and cafes.
- Birmingham Cathedral and square - A beautiful place to visit and to escape the madness of the city.
- Library of Birmingham - The new library is amazing and with one million books inside, it's a must when visiting Birmingham.
- Winterbourne House and gardens - University life can get a little crazy at times so I found it really important to go and take time out for myself and relax. Visiting Winterbourne gardens with one of my friends from home on a quiet spring day was one of the best things I've done during my time at university. They have a cute cafe inside the house where you can grab a cake and pot of tea, I'd really recommend taking a little visit her. You can see my photos from my fashion shoot I did with my friend, What Olivia Did.
Here's what I wore:
I've decided to combine two days together on which I visited two of Barcelona's famous landmarks. Day one we visited the Sagrada Famillia, and our second day we visited Parc Guell.
Just a word of warning if you're planning on visiting the Sagrada Famillia you need to pre-book tickets to avoid a 3 hour queue. If you're planning on using the lift so you can go up further inside the cathedral you also need to get tickets for that too (as we found out that we weren't able to use the lift despite having tickets for the church, there's a separate ticket for the lift!) Despite all the hassle the inside was pretty incredible and very different to it's crazy exterior.
On our way to Parc Guell I fell in love with these polka dot flamenco shoes that loads of the tourist shops were selling. I wish they had them in my size and until my future child can wear these I satisfied my polka dot craving by buying a fan instead.
After a long few days of walking around Barcelona's famous landmarks, a traditional Spanish dinner of a huge glass of sangria and paella was much needed. Although I didn't particularly enjoy the paella if I'm honest, it was just a bit to "fishy" for me.
I thought I'd do a quick post and share with you an outfit I wore on a night out with my flatmates a few weeks ago. We took a trip to a local cocktail bar called Island bar, which makes some pretty lethal drinks, I had one Zombie (which came in a cute "pinterest style" jar) and lets just say the rest of the night is a bit of a blur...
I absolutely love this dress, I spotted it in the last chance to buy section, and picked it up amongst a bunch of other things I had in my hand and thought that it wouldn't really suit me. I tried it on and it was love. I practically ran to the tills.

The shade of blue is gorgeous and the embriodery is so pretty and delicate. At the bottom of the dress its partially cut out which I love! It will be perfect for the summer (when the sun feels like coming out again!) I decided to team this with my favourite frilly sock and heel combination and I think they work quite well together. I've also tried this with some of my favourite 40 denier tights and it also looks pretty good.
With my hand-in deadline approaching this might be the last post you see from me in a while (about a month), hopefully I can try and squeeze one or two in if things are going well! Check out my last post (here) to see what I've been up to, thankyou to everyone who took a peak last time, I got some really nice feedback!
What I'm wearing: Plum Body - Gap (old but similar here from American Apparel),
This outfit post is a lot more casual than my previous one but I hope you like it just as much. This outfit brought me right back to my childhood in the nineties, I felt like a five year old me in this polka dot pinafore from Miss Selfridge, can you tell I've been loving spots recently? I've wanted this pinafore/playsuit for a while, so when I was lucky enough to receive a voucher from work to spend anywhere in the shopping centre I work in I knew had to get this. With my student discount I got it for the bargain price of £15!
Although living in England we don't get to see too much sunshine especially around this time of year, I feel that this outfit would be perfect for when we do get some. I've decided to keep the rest of the outfit very plain with a basic plum leotard and some converse, however if I wanted to wear this outfit now I would definitely have to wear some tights.
Yes, the title of this post is a One Direction song, I wish I was sorry and I didn't like them but I can't help but love them and I am so jealous of everybody who's been lucky enough to see them on their latest tour. Definately my guilty pleasure!
What did you think of this post and what would you like to see me post? Feedback/comments are always SO helpful! Also If you are feeling kind please nominate me for Company's Blog awards in the Best Personal Style Newcomer Blog here - It would mean the world to me!
