Let's start off by addressing just quite how extra this outfit is, and I love it. I feel like I could be a long lost member of Little Mix, my dream always was to be in a girl band... so I'll just continue to dress like I'm in one for the time being. The detail in this co-ord is just lovely, the choice of turquoise, baby pink and gold sequins threaded through all of the other embellishments is so unique. I remember when I was about 14 I fell in love with those sequin dresses from All Saints, and my desire to be covered in sequins hasn't ever subsided. I found it on the River Island site, this co-ord is an online exclusive too, so it'll be a special secret for us online shopping addicts. River Island are a brand I don't look at enough, but whenever I do have a look there's always a stand out piece that is so different from anything else on the high street. The collection they recently created with Holly Fulton was so fun! Make sure you follow me on Instagram for more sparkles, sequins & sunshine.
This piece was created in collaboration with the team at River Island. However all thoughts about girl bands, sequins and sparkles are my own.

I'm back, after a whole month of not posting anything here I finally managed to squeeze in a little time in to sit down a write a blog post. I met up with the very talented Lily, to shoot some photos in my new favourite jacket, more on that later. After studying photography for four years, and taking photos every day in my job it felt a little odd be in front of the camera with someone who wasn't a friend or my sister. But Lily was so lovely and made me feel comfortable immediately, if you're looking for someone to help you out with blog photography hit her up.
So, the jacket. It's a little much I know, but I love it. My sister (who is much cooler than me) sent me the link and I just thought it was so fun. I've not seen anything else like it and it reminded me of something Alabama Worley would have worn in True Romance. If you know me I'm always getting style inspiration from film and TV. ASOS also had the matching skirt (a bit like Alabama's) but it sold out pretty quickly.
I'm hoping the weather warms up again soon, there's currently been a snow storm in London and I've been living in lots of rather unflattering layers looking like Skepta in Moncler. Not quite the cool fashion blogger look that most other bloggers go for, but this girl likes to be warm and cosy.

From around 2008, my dream was to be in The Saturdays, I mean it was never going to happen, I can't sing and I'm terrified of getting on stage but a girl can secretly dream. Now they're no longer a thing I religiously keep up with them all on Instagram, especially Mollie King. Who is known for having impeccable preppy style and she often posts fab outfits on her feed (examples here; 1, 2, & 3). When I saw this super cute pinafore on her I had it my basket quicker than you could blink. I think quite a few people had the same idea as this weekend I've seen it all over Instagram and I think it's sold out online. I still wanted to post this as it might be available in some shops and they could order in more soon!
Anyway as I'm sure you've noticed by now I sort of have an obsession with Blair Waldorf's style so obviously this blog post was going to be no different. There's just something about a cute beret, checks and a quilted bag. I think it's the mix of all of the fashion capitals signature styles, or it could have something to do with watching Gossip Girl everyday?

I am one of those people who is always cold, I'm the person in the office who's constantly shutting the windows and even today I've taken a trip to Uniqlo to buy some more heat tech, as I'm writing this I'm in bed with an electric blanket on. So it's fair to say dressing for Winter is bound to bit of a tricky one for me, plus my go to of a jumper, jeans and boots can get a little boring after a while. Today I thought I'd put a little more effort into my outfit aka just throwing a beret on and some heeled boots but I think its worked. However I'm not quite sure how long I'd last outside before having to run into a cafe and drink a whole pot of peppermint tea to warm up, but I've given it a go!
I also just wanted to mention that everything in this look is something that has been in my wardrobe for at least a month, these "leather" leggings are easily a few years old. As a part time blogger sometimes I find myself buying things to make sure my blog is current or features the latest trends but those sort of habits are incredibly wasteful in so many ways. This is something I've spoken about before, but it's amazing what outfit you can put together with the things that you already own, plus you might discover some old favourites!

I was all ready to do a blog post about how Autumn was here and it's time to embrace the cold, but over the last few days it has been surprisingly warm here in London. I was so warm yesterday that I had to shoot this look without a jacket on! Considering it is Halloween next week I can't quite believe it, although I did get caught up in Storm Brian at the weekend and I have to say it wasn't the best moment of my life...When it was Hallowen when I was little I'd always have to wear a few pairs of tights to go trick or treating because I'd get so chilly. Then I'd get super hyper because I'd eat lots of the sweets on my way back home when my friends and my mum weren't watching! Not much has changed to be honest.
Anyway, I'm so excited to share this post with you this week as I think it's one of my favourite looks I've put together recently. I'm just obsessed with this beret I picked up from Accessorize, I used to have a knitted grey one with silver sequins when I was a teenager and now berets are back in my life I couldn't be happier. The little silver embellished stars are just so me and I love it. It's a recent purchase as well as this dress which I bought from Topshop at the weekend. Despite everything in the shop being either super sparkly for Christmas or full of knits for the colder weather, I still managed to find a tea dress of course. So I hope you enjoy the post and this look!

As last week it was the 10th anniversary of Gossip Girl, I thought there was really no better time to celebrate this iconic day than an outfit inspired by the queen Blair Waldorf. So I picked up my pearl headband and constant sassy attitude, to shoot this look in homage to one of the best teen shows ever. It's so hard to pick my favourite out of Serena and Blair, as I do love Blair's sense of style but Serena's hair was always and still is the ultimate hair goals. To be honest, I was always about Serena's inner corner eyeshadow highlight too, a make-up tip I used way before Manny MUA was even considering launching his YouTube channel. And let's not forget that gorgeous yellow Ralph Lauren dress Serena wore her mum's wedding to Bart Bass, it's definitely a love it or hate it sort of piece.
This dress is from Sister Jane, and is the first time I've worn something from the brand. I always see their cute dresses and jumpers online but I've just never bought anything from them. This dress is actually exclusive to ASOS, but I've spotted they have a white version on their website. I can totally see Ms Waldorf wearing this herself, just call me Eric Daman (he was also one of the stylists for Sex and the City too)! I love the black ribbon detail, the little buttons and the ruffles throughout the dress, I think these touches make the dress look a lot more than the £65 I paid, I feel like it could fit right in with the current Gucci collection.
So despite watching the entire series at least three times already, I might just have to make it my fourth...

As I write this I've attempted to go for a run for the first time in forever (I mean forever, I think the last time I did any running was in secondary school), and on the hottest day London's had for a while. So it's fair to say I'm not feeling so fresh and I'm looking like a bright red beetroot. Trying to motivate myself is quite the struggle, but last night I dreamt about going on a run, so I decided to make my dreams a reality. As you can tell, I'm an extremely exciting person...
Anyway, back to a time when I was feeling a little cuter. Earlier on in the week I took full advantage of the sun still being around until 8pm and shot some photos of my outfit after work. I love this candy striped top from ASOS, I feel like a retro ice lolly whenever I wear it. The baby pink and light green go so well together. I'm really into wearing a lot of pink at the moment, as I'm sure you would have guessed by now, but pink happens to be one of my favourite colours. I'm loving how much of it is around in the shops at the moment, hooray for Millennial pink, may the trend never disappear!

I've teamed my new favourite top with this faux leather skirt from Oasis, I used to have one from H&M which I'd been wearing since I was about 14 so I thought it was probably time to buy a new one. I love the panelling on this one and I think leather skirts look so great with heeled boots with tanned legs (a la Millie Mackintosh) as well as with thick tights in the winter!
I really hope you like this post, I've been trying to work hard on my photos recently and making sure they're the best they can be!
