I recently took a trip to my local Boots and picked up some of the Real Technique brushes, I got the shading brush and the blush brush. They're an amazing price for such a professional looking brushes as M.A.C sell their 217 brush for £17 and I picked up my shading brush for the amazing price of £7.99 and managed to get some cheeky boots points. The blush brush also cost me just £9.99.
I am yet to try these brushes out but I am really excited to, I've only heard and read good things about this range. They're so soft and I can tell they are of a really high quality. I choose to get these ones as I needed a new shading brush to add to my ever growing collection and I chose the blush brush as I love that its half contour brush and half blush brush, which is perfect for me. I am going to see how well i get on with these and then I may even invest in the Core Collection for face and the Starter Set Collection for eyes.
If you're interested check out the website, it's amazing and full of really helpful videos and information, the link for that is here.
With so many make up products coming out every week It's hard to keep up with it all and even more challenging to test them all out. So after eyeing up this product  for a while ( excuse the pun) I thought I'd give it ago. I'd seen it been used in one of my favourites YouTubers the Pixiwoo girls video and if its good enough for them, then its good enough for me.

Maybelline have never been one of my go to brands when looking at my local "drugstore" for make up but as I was so impressed with their bb cream I was sure that this product wouldn't be too bad. Well I feel its fair to say that this product is pretty amazing. I'm impressed with it on every level the pigment in product is great, its extremely easy to use and its a great price. I was sceptical to try a gel liner as I've used liquid liner pretty much since day one of using make up. I've also tried another gel liner before which was from topshop and was pretty awful, it dried up so easily and just was so difficult and horrible to apply. Make up artist Tanya Burr said is that it was a great cheaper replacement for Bobbi Brown's cult product, the gel liner.

However the brush you get with this liner is actually quote good and works fairly well I haven't bothered to use any off my own brushes with the liner. I think for someone just starting off using eyeliner this would be a great starting point, you don't run the risk off getting the product in your eye and its stinging horribly. It's also easy to achieve the much loved winged liner look as the brush allows you to create great easy flicks.

This retails for about about £6.99 is available also in brown from Boots and Superdrug (UK)
I'd give this product a 5 out of 5.

To celebrate Katy Perry's new film Part of Me coming out, I thought I'd do a blog post all about my favourite lady in pop!

1. Press launch for her perfume Purr in Paris, 2.Performing in the states, 3. The famous crystal dress she wore  to the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, 4. EMA awards 2011, 5.Part of Me Hollywood premiere in June 2012 & 6. The watermelon playsuit worn for one of her first performances in 2008.

Katy is known for having quite a bold sense of style from her hair to her shoes, it's a mix of sexy, unique and girly clothing that promotes her own personality and still managed to be an amazing role model for young girls. One of the many things that I love about her is that she isn't completely stick thin, she has an amazing body and knows how to dress herself and show it off in the best way. These are a few of my absolute favourite looks from her including the amazing red D&G dress at her Part of Me premiere in Hollywood! There were quite a few to choose from her many performance and red carpet looks.

As for the film I absolutely loved it! I can't believe it hasn't done as well as it was supposed to! I'm a massive fan and I was lucky enough to see her California Dreams tour twice last year and loved the concerts so to see the documentary about the tour brought back how much fun I had. The film shows the audience how hard she works and how hard she had to work to get where she is now, as the film tells us she wasn't an overnight success. I'd definitely recommend seeing this film for, snippets of her tour performances, never before seen clips and interviews and a whole new view on Katy Perry's life. The film is a roller-coaster showing her ups and downs in her most hectic year yet.

I also spotted this amazing Katy Perry Wide Awake music video look by Nic from the Pixiwoo girls on YouTube, she's such a great make up artist the eyebrows and lips actually look like Katy's in the video.

I hope you enjoyed this post, even if it's just me fan-girling over my favourite lady!
