UK Lifestyle blog consisting of fashion, Travel and Interviews!

From around 2008, my dream was to be in The Saturdays, I mean it was never going to happen, I can't sing and I'm terrified of getting on stage but a girl can secretly dream. Now they're no longer a thing I religiously keep up with them all on Instagram, especially Mollie King. Who is known for having impeccable preppy style and she often posts fab outfits on her feed (examples here; 1, 2, & 3). When I saw this super cute pinafore on her I had it my basket quicker than you could blink. I think quite a few people had the same idea as this weekend I've seen it all over Instagram and I think it's sold out online. I still wanted to post this as it might be available in some shops and they could order in more soon!

Anyway as I'm sure you've noticed by now I sort of have an obsession with Blair Waldorf's style so obviously this blog post was going to be no different. There's just something about a cute beret, checks and a quilted bag. I think it's the mix of all of the fashion capitals signature styles, or it could have something to do with watching Gossip Girl everyday?

Another blog post and another week of the most insane and head shaking news. It feels odd to be writing about my favourite new dress when Theresa May has announced that there will be a general election in June but here I am. I'm not going to talk about it too much here as I'm sure if you follow me on Twitter you'll probably know how I feel about it all. But I urge you to vote and to not just think about yourself but to also consider how your vote will effect other people, the NHS, the homeless, the housing crisis, education and the peculiar relationships our current prime minister has... *cough* Donald Trump *cough*, change your future.

So enough of creepy politicians, If you're on a search for a new spring wardrobe essential then look no further, as I may have just found it. I know, not one of the smoothest ways to change the subject, but I'm not quite sure how else I could have gone from voting to frilly dresses... Anyway, I'm simply obsessed with this dress, Topshop dresses just seem to fit me the best and I end up wearing them for years. One of my favourite dresses ever is from Topshop, I found it in the last chance to buy section over five years ago and it's been worn SO many times. I love how super feminine this dress is; bright red, frills, floral and polka-dot. Written down it seems pretty intense but it just works.

It would seem that every time I visit the Topshop website, I find another thing I add to my ever growing wishlist. To make myself feel a little less guilty about wanting to buy everything I thought I would share a lot of the pieces I am lusting after and turn it into a blog post. January seems to be a bit of a difficult month for everyone, we all finally accept Christmas is over, our bank balances are struggling along with our will power to persist with new years resolutions. So perhaps instead of having a mid month splurge, I thought I'd put this list together of a few of my favourite picks from the shop to make things a little easier. I love the variety that Topshop has at the moment as a few months ago I struggling to find anything I'd like at all. I'm obsessed with the puffa jacket after trying it on in store and haven't stopped thinking about it since. These navy blue (or leopard print) shoes are also rather special and I think they'd look great on everyone! I'd love to know which of the below has caught your eye, or if there's something else you think I'd like.

Having a holiday in New York means one thing- a lot of walking. So I wanted to make sure I had something super comfortable to wear but still wanted to be able to channel my inner Carrie whilst wondering round the big apple. I've been absolutely loving Topshop's Autumn release year and have found myself buying something from the site almost each week! One of my favourite things I've bought recently is this 60s style forest green dress, which just seems to be the colour of the season. As soon as it arrived I knew I was going to be popping it straight into my suitcase! I was looking for a few more staples that I could wear to work, but also something that was still special enough to wear on the weekends.
On the third day of my trip I pulled this dress from my hotel wardrobe and got ready for a day of exploring. My boyfriend and I wondered around the Washington Square area and found this sweet little road dedicated to NYU's language students, the whole road has been recreated to look like your typical French street. We spent a good hour taking photos and looking at all of the pretty houses, it was one of my favourite finds from our trip! So many bloggers, celebrities and friends of mine are over there at the moment, or will be travelling to NYC soon and I must confess I'm pretty jealous, I'd love to go again in the spring or summer next year. However I think next on my holiday list is somewhere hot with a beach and cocktails, or maybe even Disneyland Paris. Please do let me know of your travel recommendations below!

Autumn fashion 2015

It feels like forever since I've put together a fashion blog post and I've really missed it. Life has been a little bit crazy in the last few months- but in the best way possible! I've been lucky enough to go on a couple of holidays, and I just fell out of my little blogging schedule. Sometimes working full time and trying to run a blog can be a little frustrating as quite often it rains on the weekend, making it pretty tricky to shoot an outfit post. So last weekend I was determined to take some outfit photos whilst there were still plenty of Autumn leaves around. I absolutely love the way they look in the background of photos. My boyfriend and I drove over to a very drizzly Crystal Palace park to snap this Topshop cord number, (thank you Liv for tweeting about this playsuit)! Now, I may not wear it quite as well as Gigi (check out Topshop's A/W campaigns to see what I mean). As Halloween is coming up I thought I'd give it a bit more of a Wednesday Adams twist and then continue to dress like her until Winter is over. Who could blame me? Why wouldn't you want to wear collared dresses, black tights and plaits for the next few months...?

I've recently been finding myself having a little browse online a lot more than usual. I don't know if this is because I know it's pay day soon, or if I'm subconsciously wanting to have a bit of a wardrobe make over. So I've put together my spring wish list, the majority of these pieces are from Miss Selfridge who are nailing it with their current collection! What's even better is that if you like anything I've shown you, you can click the through to the website & it'll take you straight to the page! Just to let you know, those of you who can't see my picks below you need to switch off your Google add blocker as it blocks this widget! I'm sure you'll be seeing a few of these pieces in a style blog post soon...

Dress - Topshop, Socks - Primark (similar here) & Shoes - New Look

I thought I'd do a quick post and share with you an outfit I wore on a night out with my flatmates a few weeks ago. We took a trip to a local cocktail bar called Island bar, which makes some pretty lethal drinks, I had one Zombie (which came in a cute "pinterest style" jar) and lets just say the rest of the night is a bit of a blur...

I absolutely love this dress, I spotted it in the last chance to buy section, and picked it up amongst a bunch of other things I had in my hand and thought that it wouldn't really suit me. I tried it on and it was love. I practically ran to the tills.

The shade of blue is gorgeous and the embriodery is so pretty and delicate. At the bottom of the dress its partially cut out which I love! It will be perfect for the summer (when the sun feels like coming out again!) I decided to team this with my favourite frilly sock and heel combination and I think they work quite well together. I've also tried this with some of my favourite 40 denier tights and it also looks pretty good.

With my hand-in deadline approaching this might be the last post you see from me in a while (about a month), hopefully I can try and squeeze one or two in if things are going well! Check out my last post (here) to see what I've been up to, thankyou to everyone who took a peak last time, I got some really nice feedback!

This months wishlist pretty much consists of accessories and all the items are a little bit pricey. I'm supposed to be being good with my money as I saving up for my trip to New York in the autumn, but there are just so many things I want to buy right now! A very navy & white themed wishlist too, this was completely unintentional I'm just obviously a navy and white kinda girl...

1. Dr. Martens, Mini heart satchel, £125 - This satchel is so cute and comes from the Agyness Deyn collaboration. This will be perfect for spring and summer when it finally arrives, and  I think I would team this with a vintage style tea dress, but it would also look great at night with disco pants.
2. Kurt Gieger, Vito Heels, £140 - I've had my eye on these heels for a very long time, when ever I'm on the KG website I find myself time and time again lusting after these beauties. If I have any rich admirers out there, I take a size 7!
3. Topshop, Scallop Bikini, £30 & 4. Topshop, Scallop Swinsuit, £36 - I am so in love with these two swimwear pieces, they're something that I would definitely love to be wearing on the beach. I also love the 50's twist to them and my favourite combination of navy and white. Ties on the side of the bikini bottoms are especially flattering if you're worried about your hips/thighs on the beach as they don't cut you off like some other bikini bottoms may.
5. Puma, Classic Suede Trainers, £55 - I've been on the hunt for a new pair of everyday trainers for a while and although I love my Nike Janoski's to death, I fancied a change, so I spotted these on the Office website and I think I'll be purchasing them soon!
6. Olivia Burton (via ASOS), Watch, £62 - I first spotted this watch in the Islington Joy shop and I couldn't stop thinking about it on my tube journey home. So when I spotted it on the ASOS website, it made me want it even more! All of Olivia Burton's watches are so pretty and elegant and with 10% student discount on ASOS I feel I may be slipping this into my shopping basket someday soon!

What do you think of my picks? Is there anything you have your eye on? I'd love to know in the comments below!

Also If you haven't already and are feeling kind please nominate me (iamdaisyalice.blogspot.co.uk) for Company's Blog awards under Best Personal Style Newcomer Blog here - It would mean the world to me!

What I'm wearing: Crop top - Topshop, Skater skirt - Topshop, Ankle socks - Topshop & Heels - Miss Selfridge (old but similar here)

I thought I'd finally get round to doing another outfit post as the other one went down pretty well. This is the type of outfit I would definitely wear for a night out with my university girls. I've teamed my polka dot crop top with the black skater skirt so it isn't too revealing. If I was feeling brave I'd get like legs out like I've done here, if not I reckon this would still look okay with some plain black tights. I love the heels in this outfit and I really don't wear them enough but they're so high. I get scared that I won't be able to last more than a few hours! Putting this outfit together was so much fun and by the end of it I'd created an outfit that I love, and  it really reminds me of Minnie Mouse!

March is going to be a pretty manic month for me as I have lots going on with uni, work and friends and family. I hope that I can get around to doing a post a week. I should have another outfit post ready for you all soon featuring an item that you may have seen on my last wishlist post, and I'd love to know what you think of this one and what you've been up to!

Daisy, x
I haven't done one of these in a while but after having a few days off uni, I found myself bookmarking a few items that I hope to purchase soon and I thought I would share them with you.

1. Emma Bridgewater, Dachshund mug, £9.95 - As you may have noticed I have a slight obsession with sausage dogs and I really hope I can have one one day, but until then this Emma Bridgwater mug will have to do.
2. Wittards, Rocky Road Hot Chocolate, £5.50 - To put in my Emma Bridgewater mug I found this Rocky Road hot chocolate which sounds so tasty and would definitely keep me warm on these very cold winter nights!
3. Amazon, Canon EF 50 mm f/1.8 II Lens, £84I've been looking for a new lens for a while and this has been recommended to me by quite a few people, so this is on the very top of my wishlist.
4. Topshop, Happy sandals, £28 - Perhaps a bit premature to be looking at sandals but I saw these on the Topshop website and I know that they'll be a great purchase for the summer and I'd be prepared!
5. Missguided, boots, £40.99 - I still haven't found the perfect boots for winter but these are getting there and aren't too expensive. I love the gold details!
6.Miss Selfridge, High Waisted shorts, £32- I love these denim shorts from Miss Selfridge's new collection they'll be great for the summer and nights out.
7. Lime Crime, Candy Apple Lipgloss, $16.99 - This Lime Crime lipgloss has been on my beauty wish list for a long time, this shade is the perfect glittery red and reminds me of Snow White. What's even better about the brand is that they don't test on animals and this is a vegan product.
8. Miss Selfridge, Playsuit, £39 - This polka dot pinafore from Miss Selfridge is so cute I love the vintage look to it and it will be great for layering and in the spring and summer months.

I hope you liked this post and that I showed you some things that maybe you would like to buy for yourself as a treat to beat those January blues. Until next time!

P.S Thankyou so much to everyone who has clicked "follow" over the last 8 months, I've now made it to over 100 wish is so exciting and it's crazy that 100+ people would want to read my blog so thankyou and there's to the next hundred (hopefully...)

Converse - Office (these are old but you can get them here), Dress - Topshop, Jacket - Topshop (old, very similar here) and bag - Urban Outfitters.
I decided to brave Oxford street on my day off with my mum to get a few last Christmas presents, and as I'm trying to do some more fashion related posts I thought I would show you what I wore. This is a pretty everyday outfit for me as I like to keep things simple and practically live in my Zara jeans. I brought this dress from Topshop during a 20% off student event they had a few months ago. I originally fell in love with the longer sleeved version of this but I couldn't find it in my size anywhere so I settled for this. I really love the tiny embroidered hearts and flowers on the dress, they really liven up the simple black dress.
The dress itself is really flattering and I find that it because of it's length and shape it makes me appear slimmer than I actually am (which is always a bonus!) The only thing I would say is that for the price (£46.00) that the material is quite thin and there is no lining so the dress is a little see through, but it's nothing that a long vest or slip can't sort out.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my second OOTD and please let me know if you would like me to do some more, as they're still pretty new and scary to me! I hope you're enjoying the holiday festivities and it's only 2 days until Christmas!

I also recently joined Lookbook, so if you have an account I'd love it if you wanted to come take a look!

Here are my September favourites, I found it quite hard to find things that I liked whilst having a browse online but once I did, I absolutely loved them! I definitely need to invest in a pair of ankle boots and a khaki coat for Autumn/Winter this year, so I’ve been having a look round and I found these. both of the jackets are from River Island, I’m sure many of you will recognise the contrast arm jacket (#2) as it's been a bloggers favourite for a while appearing on almost everyone's blog. I found both of these pair of boots on the Topshop website and both are under £50 which is amazing, both of which will look great with my go to autumn/winter staple, a good pair of  skinny jeans.

I spotted these Topshop trousers in store and they look amazing they're such a pretty raspberry colour and I love the flocked heart detailing. I've been scared to try wearing printed trousers as I’m not sure they would suit my body shape but I might have to give these a whirl. The only issue is I can only seem to find them in petite or tall on the website. The other Flocked item I have on my wish list is another Topshop item and it's this really pretty pastel bralet, I love the contrast of black against this pastel blue, this is an item that could easily be carried over for a few seasons, I can see myself wearing this again next summer.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know in the comments below what you think of my picks!
Whenever payday comes or my student loan delightfully pops its self in to the bank account the one thing I always end up buying is underwear! I am completely obsessed with it, it can just make you feel so much better if you are having a rubbish day and you know that you have your favourite bra and knickers on, (well this is the case for myself anyway!) There are so many good high street shops such as Topshop and New Look that offer really nice underwear sets or separates for a pretty reasonable price & both offer student discount. Here's a few of my bras favourite from the high street this week.
1. New Look £14.99, 2.Topshop £18.00 & 3. Kelly Brook for New look £14.99

Some more of my favourites but this time from a few more expensive brands, they were so pretty I could  not help but put them in this post, my favourite from this lot has to be the Elle Macpherson Obsidian it's so pretty, I love the lace detail and the grey and dusty pink work so well together!

1.Elle Macpherson Intimates - Obsidian £65.00, 2.Ultimo - La Femme £34.00,
3. Agent Provocateur - Lorna £85.00 & 4. D&G - £72.00
(1,2 & 4 are all available from ASOS.com)

I hope this post has inspired you to go out and treat yourselves to a new bra or underwear set, I know come payday I certainly will.
